Bob Florence - I'm all smiles

Well – not really – but it’s a nice song. Bob Florence is an amazing composer – and this is what “All About Jazz” has to say about his album, “Legendary”.

This however DOES make me smile … it’s the lunch I threw together last weekend while I was working on all this Webinar crap.

At first I didn’t think I had anything to eat … and then I remembered I had these odds and ins sitting around.

So I sliced and spread …

Plus added a dash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar and the crunch of sea salt

THAT’S MY LUNCH!

In other news *a-hem*  … There's a HOUSE FOR SALE next door to me. I looked for the listing on-line – but it’s not there. I’m sure there’s nothing right about it … EXCEPT the neighborhood, dog friendly, and the neighbors. Also – I hear there’s a real good cook in the area. So - if you want to live in a cool neighborhood in a eclectic, easy to manage house ...

Tomorrow is the “live” presentation of our local seminar. It feels very weird to not be doing last minute stuff (this is the first time in 8 years I haven't been in front of a crowd). Now that I'm done develeoping/producing the webinars, I’ve moved back to my desk upfront. It’s nice to have more natural sunlight – and have more windows. Not so great to be near my co-workers who sigh and yawn every 10 minutes (not to mention other disgusting noises/smells).

I read an interesting blog this morning …  (actually I read it every day) … Chookooloonks. I especially like her topic today – and challenge all of you … over the weekend, let’s spend 30 minutes (or so) writing down everything we love. Then try to find the patterns. Then – let’s be bold – and see what we can come up with to add/improve our lives by incorporate these items in a more significant fashion. You’ll do this with me, right? Pinky swears?

I made chicken curry last night. AND I remembered the curry paste! Tonight I’m leaning towards making cashew chicken. I have a purple bell pepper from the CSA haul this week. I think I’ll use it – and maybe a cubano pepper too. The purple should add a nice bit of color.

This weekend – and next – I’m thinking about asking my artist friend if I can borrow her studio to do some writing. It’s not that I can’t write at home – it’s just that I want to really FOCUS and bang out some chapters. I think if I make myself have a schedule – and pack my lunch – maybe I won’t procrastinate so much – or feel like I should be also doing … (the laundry, dusting, mopping, etc.)

Okay I’m shutting up now. Clearly I don’t want to work today.

That’s it.

No more out of me.

Really – I am done.

See?

Me – saying “good-day”.

*waves*

bye-bye!

Hey Cousin! I hope your ice cream was good last night. I made some peach ice cream last week. I bet it would be even better with Cali peaches.
