Lie

There is no "high" from working out.

It's just another thing to get done.

Like brushing my teeth.

ps: No endorphins happen' here.

pps: NOTHING to do with exercise is fun. Absolutely nothing. I am awkward, uncoordinated, klutzy, and any other "non-athletic" term you can think of. Which is fine. I recognize that - and know I must just be determined and focused. Which I am. But every minute is of exercise is a chore. Always has been, always will be. And I hate those people who talk about "how great" exercising is ... grrr.

ppps: I really don't mean to sound like a whiny baby about all of this.

pppps: But for the record ... I AM GOING TO STICK WITH THIS DAMMIT!

The "high" actually doesn't kick in for me until after I've been exercising for weeks: mostly it's just generally feeling better and more in tune with my body.

Of course, I don't think of a hour hike through the woods as exercise and those make me really happy.

LOL! good luck with that, mitmoi :) I hate exercising too. I am always the girl in the back of the aerobic class that's a beat behind everyone else. The most I can do is go walking. Hiking...when I want to make it sound like I'm doing something athletic :D

I totally agree with you. Just think, though, how you're gonna feel when all of your customers see you this summer and won't be able to take their eyes off you!! I'm with you in spirit every time I lace up those walking shoes and hit the street!! I really respect you for doing this and for the effort you put forth!!

Gina ... yes, let's think about hiking. Actually, I should totally introduce you to one of my friends who's just moved back to NC. He's an amazing hiker - and always looking for buddies.

I-H8-24 - well, we'll just see how much change there is. It's YOU that impresses me - diet and walking!

JMom - we are SO cut out of the same cloth!
