Luck o’ the Mitter

You didn’t think I’d let this holiday slip by without food did ‘ya? Tonight will be a literary and culinary feast celebrating fine Irish food and the art of the tall tale and storytelling. What a fine way to spend a chilly March night.

Menu

Guinness Braised Beef

Braised Red Cabbage

Roasted Red Potatoes with Garlic and Mustard

Soda Bread

Gingered Pear Crisp

We’ll be thinking of you – maybe even discussing some of you at the table tonight.

Here's to men's kisses, and to whiskey, amber clear; Not as sweet as a man's kiss, but a darn sight more sincere!

Wow -- that sounds good. Sounds like a lot more fun than I had for the 17th. Maybe I'll be driving again *sometime*. [sigh]

St. Paddy's Day was Flem and Earl's 20th birthday (the twins). After an afternoon of "toe fishing" from the dock at the lake in 70 degree sunny weather, we ate at the Cow Pen. Was a good day, but we had margaritas instead of green beer!!!
